    This is Twitters page during the protests in Iran during 2009. The use of Facebook and Twitter during protests regarding the elections has triggered possible revolutions in the Middle East and other nondemocratic countries.

  1. Great post. Am glad you're following all of this. It's unprecedented unrest in the Arab world in my lifetime, with a dizzying array of potential scenarios that could play out. It's so cool how Facebook and Twitter have played such a role. Also, a bit frightening how easily the Internet can be unplugged by a government...

  2. I know its crazy! But i understand why a tyrannical government would want to shutdown popular social networking cites. Clearly they are very effective.
